Toddler Talk: Tuesday Morning Tantrum

She hasn’t even been up for an hour yet and my 3 year old has had more meltdowns already this morning than she has had all week.

Here’s the breakdown thus far…

  1. She didn’t make it to the potty in time and peed in her pj pants
  2. Little sister ate her vitamin
  3. Big Brother and Big Sister went to the bus stop with the neighbor kids and she was unable to tag along
  4. I put butter on her toast
  5. Cried for 10 minutes when I said no movie YET
  6. Cried for another 5 minutes when I started to put movie on because she wanted to watch Mickey Mouse and NOT a movie
  7. Freaked out because her shirt was wet where she decided to chew on it
  8. Told me I was mean when I took her cempty breakfast plate away

It’s gonna be a LONG day that requires A LOT of coffee to help this voiceless momma get through to the end without having a tantrum herself.

  2. Ah toddlers, they can go from ecstatic to nuclear meltdown in the blink of an eye. And when the meltdown starts, you never know how long the ride’s going to last for. Here’s to hoping the rest of your day calms down.
